I’m not a huge fan of just talking about myself. I believe that in order for a person to experience true change, they need to let others know how they feel and where they’re coming from.
Too many times, people don’t get a chance to express how they truly feel. And sadly, it’s because there’s no outlet for it.
That’s why I made this page. I invite you to pour out your heart, share with me what you’re going through. Here are some questions you can think about when you write me. I do my best to read every single comment that comes on this page. It means a lot to me.
To be honest, hearing from you gives me strength. I want to serve other people for the rest of my life. I strive to be real, authentic, and honest. That’s part of how I stay “clean” from my food addiction. And I want you to be honest with me.
You can write whatever you want below (using the facebook integrated comments it’s super easy) or you can answer these questions:
1) Do you want to lose weight? If so, how much?
2) How long have you been trying to lose weight (or get in better shape)?
3) What are your biggest struggles with weight loss (or health)?
4) Do you feel life has been unfair to you in anyway?
5) Does your family support your efforts to lose weight?
6) What sort of things would you do if you had the body you always wanted?
7) Are you finally ready to do whatever it takes to reach your fitness goals?
This is going to sound a little strange I know, but it’s the truth. I don’t know you yet. We haven’t met. But I love you. I truly do. I love you because if you’re overweight or trying to get in shape (or stay in shape!) I know EXACTLY how you feel. I know what it’s like to mess up on a diet, to fall off the wagon, to have other people look at you in disgust or judgement.
I know how it feels to be ashamed to take off your shirt (or for girls wear a bikini) or to get out of the car and feel like other people are staring at you. I know what it’s like to freak out when your skinny friends ask to sit in a booth at a restaurant. I know all those things and I know what a mental and physical toll being overweight or unhealthy takes on your body.
But more than all that, I know that you can make the changes you need to make to achieve long lasting success. You can do it, because I did it. And guess what? You can forget that I was on a show because the second the show ended I was left with myself again to deal with the same food addiction I always had. You can read it over at My Story but basically I packed weight on pretty fast after the show ended.
So, I know how to lose weight, how to gain weight, and I’m learning everyday how to keep weight off… I’ll love to share it with you. Just share yourself with me and let’s continue to take this journey together, hand in hand.
So, tell me your story…
